The Czech Village and NewBo District are once again transforming into a Halloween wonderland as the annual Creep Show Carnival Parade returns for 2025. This event has become a beloved tradition in Cedar Rapids, drawing hundreds of families, creative floats, and costumed characters for an evening of laughter, lights, and community spirit.

Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025
Time: Pre-parade activities begin at 4:00 PM; parade starts at 6:30 PM
Location: Starts at NewBo City Market, 1100 3rd St SE, Cedar Rapids, and travels through the Czech Village / NewBo District.
🕒 Event Schedule
- 4:00 – 6:00 PM: Creep Kid Zone at NewBo City Market (face painting, spin art, balloon twisting, games)
- 5:30 PM: Family Costume Contest at NewBo City Market
- 6:30 – 7:45 PM: Creep Show Carnival Parade through Czech Village & NewBo
- After 7:45 PM: Black Light Halloween Bash (post-parade party)

🗺️ Parade Route & Parking
The parade begins at NewBo City Market and travels through the Czech Village, looping along key intersections around 3rd St SE and 16th Ave SW. Arrive early for the best viewing spots — near the Market or along the river walk bridges. Expect temporary road closures between 4 PM and 8 PM in the NewBo and Czech Village areas.
Parking is available near NewBo City Market, Cherry Building, and surrounding side streets. For accessibility, consider parking near the Czech Village Welcome Center and walking in.

- Arrive by 4:00 PM to participate in kid activities and secure good viewing spots.
- Bring blankets and chairs for the parade route — and warm layers for October weather.
